
Developed by Vocal Educator and Performer Charmaine Jones, The Jones Juniors started as an offshoot of senior ensemble The Jones Commentary in April 2016 and is designed to engage and educate children about the power of vocal production in the technical and emotional.
The Jones Juniors Program teaches skills in; confidence, flexibility, learning to work with people of all different levels and ages, discipline, public speaking, posture, general movement and coordination, expression, connecting to emotion, compassion, community spirit, integrity, accountability and love.
The curriculum focuses on Voice Craft, Estill, Bel Canto and Visualisation techniques, learning a variety of styles of music and the reasoning behind it both historically and emotively with seeped in Trinity London speech, drama and elocution methods with a focus on prose and poetry, articulation and diction, fluency and manner.
The Jones Juniors performances include a variety of events; Tasting Australia, DreamBIG Children's Festival, Lighting of the Christmas Tree (Adelaide City Council), Civic Park Carols, Gospolation (Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Fringe), Jackson Vs Jackson (Adelaide Fringe), The Gospel According to Earth, Wind & Fire to name a few. Sharing the stage with industry legends like Maggie Beer, Rohan Browne, Justine Clarke, Andrew DeSilva, Archie Roach, Molly Meldrum and Adelaide’s own Hugh Sheridan fills the students with inspiration that hard work and determination can make dreams a reality.
The Jones Juniors, a vocal experience with the unique Jones style and approach, aims to focus your child in creativity and technique, providing opportunities to grow and develop 'on-the-gig' while establishing self-worth, purpose and life memories.
